I met this gorgeous family two years ago, when they were expecting their first child and were looking for a newborn and maternity photographer. From the moment I met them at their maternity session, we connected. They are such an amazing couple and the love they have for each other is so evident. They were both military at the time, and Nicole was just at the end of her enlistment and didn't resign in anticipation of staying home with their new little one and enjoying being a mother. I loved them so much that I asked them to be my family in my Little Loo Photography promotional video (that you can find right here on the website).
Over the past two years their little family has gone through so many changes. After finding out they were pregnant with baby number two (yep, she had Irish twins), Dane was deployed, leaving Nicole to manage pregnancy and life with two children under the age of two. Dane was able to come home from their second delivery but was required to return immediately after. The sacrifice that military families make continues to inspire me and make me so grateful for all that they do for us on a daily basis and all that they give up to provide for our safety and security.
We had to reschedule their family session a few times due to sick kiddos and as life goes with little ones, by the time they made it to our final session date and time, we fought pretty strongly with a quickly setting sun, an unhappy two year old, and pretty frigid temperatures. Everyone hung on and we were able to capture some pretty beautiful portraits!
Here are some of my favorites from their session:
